Do you read this?

Have you read my blog?

I know some people have from all over the world but I get very few comments if ever.

What am I doing wrong?

What should I do to improve this blog?

I’ve always been upset at how few comments I get…so I have really no clue what to say to help you on that account. 🙂 But I’ve read some posts about a blogs I read where they mentioned how many hits they get …TONS and TONS more than I’ve ever gotten on any of the blogs I’ve written over time — yet they don’t get these huge numbers of comments. Very small in comparison to the hits. So that made me feel better I guess! Even famous blogs are only getting a tiny ration of comments/hits. My only typical commenters are the same handful of people whose blogs I comment on regularly.

Hope you get some good comments with better advice than this! 🙂

Sorry, that should say “ratio” of comments/hits. (look now you have 2 comments already, lol)

I think people tend to just read blog posts rather than want to interact directly with the writer (if that makes any sense). If they find the article useful or helpful or engaging in any way, they will share it on their social media sites along with a blurb about their thoughts; rather than going back to the original article and posting for the writer there. Very frustrating but it’s what I’ve found people doing. On the other hand, I know of “professional bloggers” (i.e. paid to blog) who have millions of followers that get hundreds of comments on their articles. I don’t think there’s a formula for engagement other than being yourself and writing about things that provoke reactions from readers in some way. Best wishes to you! x
