A couple weeks ago I won a prize on Instagram from the Ella Pretty Blog and Crabtree and Evelyn.
The packages came earlier this week. Â Two really HUGE boxes. Â If you take a look at the featured image you would think that a small box would arrive.
Everything was wrapped so well too!
I received a metal tin and when I opened it it was full of hand creams. There was a gift box with a set of hand creams as well. Â A beautiful travel bag that contained a La Source hand cream, a travel wash, a nice neutral nail polish and a travel body lotion. Â Then there was the amazing bottle of Rosewater eau de toilette. I use a rosewater on my face a night so I was excited about this most. Â I’ve always liked light perfumes of Vanilla, Lavender and Roses.
Thank you again to Zeba of Ella Pretty Blog and Crabtree and Evelyn for the Amazing Prize.
Yesterday our youngest daughter graduated high school. Â I remember someone saying that it will fly by. Â IÂ still remember that little ponytail girl going into Junior Kindergarten and wanting nothing to do with her crying mom. Â Fourteen years of school flew by. Â All those firsts, reading, plays, field trips to all the you’re watching what in high school? Â You are in high school right? Â High school seemed different for my daughter. Â She had a great group of friends and two amazing teachers that she was able to confide in. Â Two of those teachers had a big
I have to thank two very important people. Â Mr. Kelly and Mrs. Gosling. Â I still remember that first phone call I received from Mr. Kelly. Â I was at work, my phone was on do not disturb but for favorites. Â He called me on my daughter’s cell phone and explained she was having trouble breathing and what did I want to do. Â These phone calls got to be almost weekly and varied from she’s had her Benadryl and is sleeping in Campus to she needs to come home. Â There were several incidents that later I realized my dear sweet girlie had lied about how bad her reaction was and should have been epied and sent to the hospital. Â Thankfully Mr. K talked the girlie into going to school in town due to her allergies and parents would be 4 hours away…. Â Thank you for all the help in keeping her alive, really during the past two years. Â May you get to actually teach a class or two next year!
So Thank you Mr. Kelly for everything you did for Se over the years. Â Certain teachers have an special impact on certain students and I think that was you for Se. Â I still have fond memories of my favorite too.
Mrs. Gosling, what can I say? Â I have a son and how he never found Campus and all those comfy couches I don’t what happened there. Â When Se first started talking about about God Squad and things she was doing I thought that’s cool. When I learned that you became her second mom at school I was proud. Â I was happy that she had someone like you to confide in. She’s a better person for having you in her life.
Thank you to both of you for helping in Se’s high school journey. Â I know you’ll both see her again – probably too much.
Sierra, your high school journey is over but as this door has now closed a whole world opened up and it’s yours for the taking. Â I’m so proud of the young woman you’ve become. Â Enjoy your Journey.
I’ve been meaning to write a big thank you to The DIY Girl
I still have no clue how I stumbled upon The DIY Girl’s Dog Cot tutorial but I’m so glad I did.
We had a lot of emails back and forth and she is so reasonably priced.
I can’t sew well. Â I have a machine but my poppa Jack was the man with the good machine for jeans, drop cloths and even leather. Â My Gram taught me to sew and I can sew straight lines and fix what needs to be fixed.
My biggest problem was picking a colour for the material. Â I knew I wanted a neutral but when The DIY Girl sent me a photo of what was available I had a hard time picking out. Â http://www.thediygirl.com/dog-cot-slings-for-sale/Â This link will show you the vast selection of colours.
Keely is a Yellow Labrador but her colour is what is called a fox red or red fox. Â She sheds a dog a day and more if she gets excited or
Ranger is a brindled boxer Wheaton Terrier mix. Â He doesn’t shed as much but enough.
My husband cut the PVC into the pieces and assembled the first cot. Â The pupalups were very apprehensive at first but now I can usually find one or the other in the cot. Â They won’t get on it together much to Ranger’s dismay because he’d love to just cuddle with Keely.
I was able to throw out two not so old beds from Costco. Â Keely’s fur is oily and the day after a bath she smells like a dog again. Â I’m going with it’s a lab thing.
I sent The DIY Girl photos and the link to Keely and Ranger’s (keelyandranger) Instagram page.  She had a hard time choosing and wanted to add 50 photos of my pupalups!  The DIY Girl added a short slideshow of Keely and Ranger on her picture gallery page.
Thank you to The DIY Girl and she still makes the slings and the tutorial is easy to do.
Keely and Ranger Thank you too!
As you can see there is always a toy or two on the beds.
*I paid for my items, I am just genuinely thankful that the DIY Girl is so awesome!
