Thursday Thoughts

On Thursdays I try to do Thursday Thought with Jennifer at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom

Today I’m taking it easy after a busy day of errands yesterday.  I’ve been working on getting things in order in the house for Monday.  I have a roast in the crock pot and it smells yummy.  My pupalups are happy now that we have two beds for them in the bedroom.  Ranger has claimed the new bigger bed and Keely has the other one.  IMG_6568

I’m nervous about the surgery on Monday but I’m trying to keep occupied but its hard because I’m in a lot of pain.

I got my Popsugar Must Have Target box yesterday.  It was $65 and it sold out in less than a day.  It included a Fitbit Flex that is worth $99 retail.  I had received a Fitbit from my mom at Christmas and love it.  My son had thought it was for him so I gave him the new Fitbit and my black band.  He didn’t want the pink.  Then I was able to buy another one for my daughter. I’m interested to see how many steps they do at work and school.

I can’t believe that all the Targets in Canada are closing.  We only have one in our town and that’s more people that will be out of work.  I like Target so much more than Walmart.  I find that it’s cleaner too.

I received my Quarterly Book Riot box.  It was originally $50 but I purchased it for $35. If you keep an eye on The Best of Quarterly they release boxes at a discount and you can pick up an even better deal for them.  Their shipping to the US is $8.00 and everything comes very well packaged.

I’m going with the hubby to my last Windsor Spitfires game of the season.  They’ve began rebuilding and it’s a young team and I have to say as a fan it’s been the worst season to watch with all the players traded away.

What I’m loving right now:

Freeman Barefoot Repair – my friend Anna sent it to me in my Secret Santa gift.  My feet (and hands) have never been so soft!

– Target Gift card from the Popsugar Must Have Target box is going towards the extra bands for the Fitbit.

fitbit pack

– my new One Touch Verio IQ blood monitor kit – it has a digital light up display and I like the way it track of my readings.

Birchbox – seriously has got to be the best subscription box out there.  It’s $10 a month plus $4.95 shipping to Canada.    My January box is on the way and they have photos up on the site letting me know what I’m getting.  Yes I looked and yeah for Amika.

I will only have two monthly subscriptions Topbox and Birchbox and two quarterly subscriptions FabFitFunVIP and the LUXE box by Loose Button. I have cancelled everything else.  So this should keep my husband happy and me too because I can’t quit all of them.  So I will only be spending $30 monthly including shipping and the next FFF is paid for and then just $24 for every quarter for the Luxe box.  I’ll still get my monthly “fix” because it is an addiction!

So what are your Thursday Thoughts?

My fellow Blogging 101’s how are you fairing with the changes you’ve made to your blog?  I’m still getting used to the new look.

  • Since you said you love subscription boxes, may I suggest a website to you? will send you free “VoxBoxes” and they are filled with different FULL-SIZE samples. All you have to do is review the items on social media and your blog. Check it out if you would like!

  • I stopped doing so many subscription boxes to focus on my life as a Disabled Mommy.

  • I like to keep my subscription boxes to a manageable amount. It’s nice to receive something fun in the mail but one doesn’t want to go broke either.

    • Yes I learned that the hard way but this works now $30 every month with shipping and $25 four times a year. One of the boxes is already paid for. I may spring for the occasional My Ireland Box and the Oui Please for my birthday.

  • Thank you for visiting me at mini2z ... Journey with me and I hope to see you often xx
